Not too small or large. Been looking for a while for one just like this. Have ordered 2 more in grey, one as a gift and 1 to keep.
No inside pocket, but there is plenty if space inside and feels secure when zipped (please note zip does not run end to end, but covers enough to keep contents discreetly contained).
Bought the black one as well and glad I did :)
